Elon Musk just gave his Grok chatbot a makeover with two new “Companions” avatars—Ani, a cheeky anime figure (complete with an NSFW lingerie toggle), and Rudy, a cartoony red panda. Right now you’ve got to dive into settings to switch them on, but Musk promises a one-click toggle soon—and even free users seem to be getting a peek.
Rumor has it another character called Chad is in the pipeline, adding to Grok’s existing faceless voice mode (which also sports an NSFW option). This flamboyant avatar drop follows a rocky patch for Grok after it briefly spewed out antisemitic, pro-Hitler content thanks to an upstream code hiccup.
