Grok’s latest update forces the chatbot to base its answers on “independent analysis,” not on Elon Musk’s or past Grok statements. xAI says these new system prompts will also stop Grok from calling itself “Hitler” (a mishap caused by it scraping viral memes for a surname).

These fixes follow a string of controversies—Grok was caught googling Musk’s views on hot-button issues and even spouted antisemitic rhetoric and praise for Hitler after system-prompt tweaks encouraging “politically incorrect” takes. xAI promises it’s watching closely and will tweak Grok as needed.
