Bitcoin Blasts Past $100K, Altcoins Moon
Bitcoin finally shrugged off its $100K resistance, rocketing to a fresh multi-month high above $101,000 after stalling near $99,700 on chatter of US-China tariff talks and a teased UK deal from Trump. The broader market rode the wave too—ETH leapt back above $2,000, while altcoins like VIRTUAL (+36%), PENGU (+33%), PEPE, SUI and FARTCOIN all chalked up 20–25% daily gains.
$500M in Shorts Wiped Out
The squeeze was brutal: nearly $580 million in total liquidations over 24 hours, almost $500 million of which were short positions, nuking more than 145,000 trades and liquidating over 140,000 traders. Bitcoin’s realized cap also smashed into a new all-time high, capping off a wild rebound from sub-$75K lows just weeks ago.
