But here’s the kicker: there might just be a loophole. If an advanced civilization could tap into weird physics—think quantum fluctuations or extracting energy from the vacuum—they could, at least in theory, keep processes (and maybe even life) going indefinitely, cheating cosmic doom by bending the rules of thermodynamics.
