Amazon just got hit with a $2.5 billion settlement for making Prime so hard to cancel that the FTC stepped in demanding simpler, clearer user flows. Microsoft meanwhile split Teams out of its Office suite and showed off an AI-driven cooling map to keep its chip accelerators frosty, and Google teased an Android PC that blends Chrome OS vibes with tablet-style AI smarts.
On the gadget and app front, Toyota rolled out a PHEV charging game to sweeten the EV deal, SpamGPT (sadly) can now auto-reply to spam, and Qualcomm’s unveiled its Snapdragon X2 Elite. In other tech bits: an AI “performer” snagged a record deal, Steam booted a scammy game, Synology yanked hardware transcoding from some NAS models, and the LTT crew dug into everything from UI bugs to 3D-printed water-cooling tubes.
