Linus Tech Tips (LTT): Every Other VR Headset is Obsolete Now - Steam Frame First Look

TL;DR

Valve just pulled the curtain back on the Steam Frame—a wireless VR headset that streams PC-level graphics over 5 GHz/6 GHz Wi-Fi with foveated rendering to hit high resolution and ultra-low latency. It packs pancake optics for a wide, crystal-clear view, hot-swappable batteries, and on-board FEX silicon to offload most of the heavy lifting from your PC.

On the controller side, Valve ditched old-school joysticks in favor of finger-tracking triggers and beefy haptics. Linus’s first look shows this combo could seriously spook the rest of the VR market—no more tangled wires and minimal lag might just make every other headset feel ancient.
