Linus and William teamed up to build a ridiculously janky yet insanely powerful portable NAS for William’s OpenSauce shenanigans. They squeezed a mini-ITX AM5 server board, Ryzen 9 9950X3D, up to 96 GB DDR5, four 15.36 TB NVMe SSDs, a GaN ATX PSU, plus 18 TB Ultrastar HDDs into a compact chassis—then proceeded to drop test, paint it on-camera, and even whip up a second NAS just for kicks.
After surviving the “most painful drop of 2025,” they hauled the sucker over to the OpenSauce event for a grand reveal, proving that with enough brain cells (and a dash of nerdy enthusiasm), you really can build the craziest storage rig on Earth.
