In this video, Linus and William Osman team up to build a delightfully janky, ultra-portable NAS (nicknamed the A.S.S.) to handle all of William’s video footage. They cram in 15.36 TB NVMe SSDs, an 18 TB HDD, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU, DDR5 RAM, a mini-ITX server board, GaN ATX PSU and PoE switch—basically everything you need for a high-capacity on-the-go storage rig.
Between paint tips, dropped screws and talk of a second NAS, they finish the build and haul it over to William’s Open Sauce shop to prove it can tackle real production workloads. It’s equal parts chaos, creativity and cable-management nightmares—all in the name of maximum storage, portability and fun.
