Linus and William Osman teamed up to build a hilariously over-the-top portable NAS for William’s OpenSauce studio. They squeezed a mini-ITX server board, a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D, multiple 15.36 TB NVMe SSDs, an 18 TB HDD, a UniFi PoE switch, and a GaN ATX PSU into one “janky” shoebox of storage—complete with the “most painful drop of 2025,” impromptu painting sessions, and even a second backup NAS for good measure.
After buttoning it all up, the duo hauled the beast to the OpenSauce workshop, plugged in all the cameras and gear, and proved that one brain cell plus a computer nerd can yield your wildest, high-capacity storage dreams.
