I Built a “janky” portable NAS for William Osman’s OpenSauce extravaganza, stuffing two mini-ITX rigs with massive NVMe SSDs (15.36 TB each), 18 TB HDDs, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D, buckets of DDR5 RAM, SAS adapters and PoE switches to handle every camera and gigabyte of video he can throw at it.
The video walkthrough hits all the highs and lows—dropping drives, last-minute paint splashes, dual-NAS indecision and a victorious setup at the festival—blending nerdy hardware talk with the usual Linus/William chaos.
