TL;DR
Linus and William Osman teamed up to build a hilariously “janky” portable NAS—nicknamed the A.S.S.—for storing massive amounts of video footage at Linus’s OpenSauce event. They squeezed enterprise-grade gear (Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 15TB NVMe SSDs, 18TB HDDs, a GaN ATX PSU and more) onto a deep mini-ITX board, slapped on a second NAS for good measure, and even painted it on-camera.
After a handful of nerve-wracking drops, last-minute tweaks and Linus’s custom paint tips, the dual-NAS rig was complete and hauled straight to OpenSauce, where William finally got his very own portable video vault.
