I Built a Janky Computer for William Osman! is a wild collab between Linus and William to create a super-portable, high-capacity NAS for Linus’ Open Sauce event. They cram insane hardware—think 15.36 TB NVMe SSDs, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D, a mini-ITX ASRock Rack board, UniFi Pro XG switch and more—into a tiny rig, endure a few painful drops, dub it the A.S.S. (Advanced Sauce Storage), and cap it off with some custom paint tips.
After a frantic build sequence and even a surprise second NAS, they roll the beast out to Open Sauce, show it off among cameras and fans, and prove that you really can pack monster storage into a mini chassis—jank and all.
