TL;DR: Linus teamed up with YouTuber William Osman to cobble together a hilariously “janky” yet surprisingly powerful portable NAS for Linus Media Group’s Open Sauce event. They stuffed a mini-ITX server with monster NVMe SSDs, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D, boatloads of DDR5 RAM, a beefy PoE switch and extra hard drives—then even slapped on some custom paint.
After a few drops, paint tips and laughs, they wrapped up not one but two NAS rigs, ready to haul tons of footage to Open Sauce and prove that with enough parts (and caffeine), you can build just about anything.
