Linus and William team up to design and assemble a wild, portable NAS (“A.S.S.”) for William’s Open Sauce video footage. They squeeze in massive Kioxa 15.36 TB NVMe SSDs, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D, tons of RAM, an ASRock Rack mini-ITX server board, a UniFi PoE switch, HDPLEX GaN PSU and more—juggling weird form factors, paint tips and plenty of dropped screws along the way.
After plenty of chaos (and a second NAS side project), the duo finally rolls their Frankenstein box into Open Sauce, showing off a high-capacity, road-trip-ready storage monster—complete with laughs, sponsor shout-outs (Odoo, Sauce Plus) and all the chapters you’d expect from a Linus Media Group shenanigan.
