TL;DR
Linus straps into an early-’90s VR headset that’s about as exciting to look at as a beige toaster and lasts about five minutes before you forget what pixels are. He boots up classics like Quake, Rise of the Triad and Descent, and while the graphics and tracking are hilariously clunky, there’s a weird charm to blasting demons in 320×240 resolution.
Behind the scenes, he tears down the bulky helmet, reveals the primitive head-tracking gear and marvels at how far VR has come. Spoiler: it’s a fun nostalgia trip, even if you’d never actually want to play for more than a few minutes at a time.
