TL;DR
Linus and the LTT crew decided to binge Rambo: First Blood on every format they could find—from ancient Betamax and VHS all the way up to 4K Blu-ray—to see how each medium stacks up in picture, sound and sheer nostalgia. Along the way they dig into oddities like LaserDisc spin-outs, the ever-fragile CED VideoDisc and the brief reign of HD DVD, comparing dropouts, color shifts and audio quirks.
Despite the goofy premise, the experiment actually reveals a lot about how much media tech has evolved (or stubbornly stayed the same) over decades. Spoiler alert: 4K Blu-ray looks gorgeous, but there’s something oddly charming about that gritty Betamax fuzz.
