Linus Tech Tips (LTT): I'm NOT Keeping the World's Biggest TV - Hisense 116UX Review

TL;DR

Linus got his hands on the world’s biggest 116″ 4K RGB-miniLED from Hisense, but quickly realized that “bigger” doesn’t always mean “better.” Despite boasting up to ~20,000 local dimming zones, it drops to ~10,000 or even ~3,600 in certain modes—leading to uneven brightness, less punchy HDR and a noticeably softer image on such a massive canvas.

After running through color accuracy, contrast, HDR pop and real-world movie scenes, Linus admits the TV’s sheer scale is undeniably cool, but the trade-offs in picture quality and sky-high price tag are hard to swallow. Verdict: impressive tech on paper, but he’s not convinced this behemoth earns a permanent spot in his living room.
