TL;DR: Linus dives into the gargantuan 116-inch Hisense UX Series 4K RGB-MiniLED, only to find that bigger doesn’t always mean better. While the mini-LED tech still wows, dropping from a crazy ~20,000 local-dimming zones (as seen in the “World Cup” model) to around 10,000—or just 3,600 on lower tiers—leaves you with the same colossal screen but fewer ways to fine-tune brightness and contrast.
After running through his usual battery of tests (and wrestling with the logistics of moving an absolute behemoth), he concludes that the sheer scale can’t compensate for the trade-offs in picture quality and value. In other words, this colossal set is cool to toy with, but not worth keeping in the living room.
