Summary
The Hisense 116UX is an absolute monster of a 4K RGB-miniLED TV, but stepping down from the flagship’s roughly 20,000 full-array local dimming zones to around 10,000 (or in some models just 3,600) really hurts contrast and black levels at that enormous size. It looks stunning on paper, but performance-wise it’s a tough sell when you literally can’t hide blooming and uneven dimming.
After a rollercoaster of “oh no” moments, wild room-rearranging ideas, and detailed test results, Linus admits that while it’s fun to have the world’s biggest TV, it’s not practical enough to keep. Cool flex? Total conversation piece? Sure. Permanent fixture? Nope.
