Linus Tech Tips (LTT): I'm NOT Keeping the World's Biggest TV - Hisense 116UX Review

TL;DR

Linus goes hands-on with Hisense’s massive 116" 4K RGB-MiniLED TV and finds that, while the scale and brightness are jaw-dropping, the cut from around 20,000 local-dimming zones to just 10,000 (and in some modes closer to 3,600!) really hurts contrast and blooming control. After running through a battery of tests—especially around black levels and HDR performance—he ultimately decides that this world-record-setting screen just isn’t worth the compromises.

What Went Down

In true LTT fashion, we get unboxing thrills, debate over “is bigger always better?”, deep dives into test results, and a final verdict: epic size doesn’t excuse middling dimming, so this beast is heading back.
