Linus Tech Tips (LTT): I'm NOT Keeping the World's Biggest TV - Hisense 116UX Review

TL;DR

Linus goes hands-on with Hisense’s massive 116UX 4K RGB MiniLED TV and finds that sheer size isn’t enough to wow when stepping down from roughly 20,000 full-array local dimming zones to around 10,000 (or even 3,600 in some models). While the picture quality and brightness remain impressive, the fewer dimming zones on the 116UX lead to more blooming and less contrast than expected, especially at this price point.

After running through his standard battery of tests, he admits the TV’s sheer scale is fun, but the performance trade-offs and sticker shock make it a hard sell. He’s still torn on whether to keep “the world’s biggest TV,” but in the end, you might be better off hunting for one of the fancier, higher-dimming-zone variants (or waiting for something smaller and cheaper).
