Linus gets his hands on the massive 116" Hisense 4K RGB mini-LED and, while the sheer size and brightness wow, the decline from roughly 20,000 local dimming zones down to 10,000 (or even just 3,600) on a panel this big hits hard. He pits it against smaller mini-LED sets, runs it through a battery of tests, and grapples with whether “bigger” actually means “better.”

After digging into contrast, haloing and overall picture quality, he ultimately can’t shake the feeling that the trade-off in dimming performance just isn’t worth the grandeur. Impressive as it is, this world-record TV ends up back on the shelf.
