TL;DR
Linus gives the Hisense 116UX a spin and admits that while its 116-inch RGB mini-LED panel is undeniably a show-stopper, the drop from roughly 20,000 local-dimming zones in smaller models to just 10,000 (or even 3,600 in some modes) really hurts contrast. At that gigantic screen size your pixel count doesn’t change, so fewer dimming zones mean more haloing and less deep blacks.
In the end he decides it’s a cool party trick but not a keeper—there’s too much compromise for the price. If you’re chasing sheer scale over perfect picture quality, go for it, but don’t expect flagship-level dimming performance.
