Linus Tries VR From 1994
Linus digs up a mid-’90s VR rig—think massive beige headset, chunky cables and a DOS machine barely keeping up—and fires up classics like Quake, Rise of the Triad and Descent. Between gawking at the low-res graphics and head-snapping refresh rates, he gets hands-on with the archaic controllers and marvels at just how far VR has come.
Surprisingly, the whole setup isn’t a total disaster. Linus and the team break down the hardware, share a few laughs at the clunky visuals, and give props to the pioneering tech that laid the groundwork for today’s slick headsets.
