Linus straps into a beige, cable-tangled VR rig straight out of 1994 and gives classic DOS-era shooters like Quake, Rise of the Triad and Descent a spin. To his surprise, the experience—gritty graphics, low resolution and all—actually manages to feel immersive, even if his head feels like it’s wearing a brick.
After blasting through levels, he peels back the plastic to show off the hefty hardware: big headset, chunky controllers and a PC that’d be ancient by today’s standards. It’s a fun nostalgia trip that proves early VR was clunky but far from useless.
