Our Nerdiest Upgrade Yet

We dropped a cool $5,000 on Robert Oakes’ home office courtesy of AMD, turning his setup into a video-editing and streaming powerhouse. On the hardware side, we built a custom NAS around an AMD Ryzen 7 5800XT, MSI B550M-VC WiFi board, Jonsbo N5 case and speedy NVMe storage. Then we jazzed up his desk with a Sony FX30 camera, Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface, Samsung soundbar, Yamaha studio monitors and all the streaming bells and whistles.
