Setting Up Our First Huge Gaming Event was CHAOS
Linus and his crew had just seven hours to transform a humble badminton club into Whale LAN 2025’s massive 250-seat gaming festival. From wrestling with power and networking issues to preloading a Steam cache, building custom PCs, installing a massive LED wall and stage, and carving out retro and VR zones (plus vending machines and shuffleboard on office chairs), every minute was a whirlwind of cables, tables, and adrenaline.
Despite constant chaos—like last-minute power failures and frantic setup sprints—the team pulled it off, finishing a full-blown gaming extravaganza in record time. It’s the kind of behind-the-scenes frenzy that makes you appreciate just how much work goes into throwing a killer LAN party.
