In just seven hours, Linus and the crew turned a sleepy badminton club into Whale LAN 2025, a 250-seat gaming extravaganza complete with a stage, LED wall, custom PCs, retro zone, VR arena and vending machines. Between wrestling with power and networking snafus, they even set up a Steam cache, retro couches, office-chair shuffleboard and an 8v8 gaming setup before the clock ran out.
Chaos reigned as tables were assembled, cables ran, and the Whale VIP setup went live alongside custom “Whale” PCs. Despite relentless time pressure and last-minute power issues, the team pulled off a massive LAN party finish—LED lights blazing and controllers in hand—just in time to kick off the first matches.
