Setting Up Our First Huge Gaming Event Was CHAOS

In just seven hours, Linus and the crew converted a humble badminton club into Whale LAN 2025—a 250-seat LAN party complete with a stage, massive LED wall, custom “Whale” PCs, a VR arena, vending machines and a retro gaming lounge.

Between dodging power failures, wrestling with network bottlenecks and pre-loading a colossal Steam cache, the team hustled through VIP setups, built tables, tweaked LED panels and even squeezed in an 8v8 gaming arena, a Whale Cup tournament, office-chair shuffleboard and a “tape to tape” challenge—all under the crunch of a ticking clock.
