Setting Up Our First Huge Gaming Event was CHAOS

In just seven hours, Linus and the team turned a humble badminton club into Whale LAN 2025—a 250-seat LAN party complete with a custom LED stage, Steam cache, retro gaming lounge, VR arena, vending machines, and even office-chair shuffleboard. Power hiccups, networking headaches, and nonstop tape runs made setup a mad dash against the clock.

Starforge Systems supplied the PCs for the “Whales,” and sponsors like ThreatLocker and Ubiquiti helped smooth some of the chaos. From pre-loading game caches to finalizing the Whale Cup tournament setup, this whirlwind event proves the team thrives on pressure—and a lot of duct tape.
