Setting Up a 250-Seat LAN in 7 Hours
Linus and the team had just seven hours to turn a humble badminton club into Whale LAN 2025—a 250-seat gaming extravaganza complete with power distribution, networking, a Steam cache, and custom Whale PCs. They raced against the clock to assemble tables, chairs, a massive LED wall and stage, retro gaming area, VR arena, vending machines, and even a “potty tour” highlight, all while wrestling with last-minute power issues.
Despite the chaos, the crew pulled off a fully stocked LAN party featuring an 8v8 competitive zone, shuffleboard office chairs, and branded merch—and proved that a deadline-driven gaming event can be both wild and downright awesome.
