Terrible News, Cloud Gaming is Good Now
Cloud gaming has seriously leveled up, and Linus is surprised to report that Nvidia’s GeForce NOW is actually pretty solid in 2025. After testing heavy hitters like Indiana Jones, Borderlands 4, and Apex Legends over the cloud, it’s clear that latency is far less of an issue than it used to be—and image quality often rivals local PC play.
That said, it’s not perfect: occasional stutters and network hiccups still pop up, so hardcore competitive players might stay local. But for many folks who hate upgrading hardware every year, cloud gaming is finally an appealing alternative—just don’t be too quick to toss out your rig… yet.
