Linus and the team ran side-by-side tests comparing cloud vs. local setups (including a Ryzen 7 9800X3D/RTX 5080 build) and were impressed by how well NVIDIA’s servers held up, even in fast-paced shooters.

But before you ditch your hardware, remember the trade-offs: you don’t actually own any gear, you’re at the mercy of your internet connection and data caps, and monthly fees can add up. Cloud gaming is undeniably “good now,” but whether it’s better than owning hardware is still up for debate.
