WAN Show November 7, 2025 TL;DR
The crew kicked things off with the Louvre’s hilariously obvious password (“LOUVRE”) and used it as a springboard to talk 2FA, common-sense security and a Floatplane bug that accidentally double-billed subscribers. Linus then regaled us with his latest airport fiascos—overweight bags, confiscated batteries and CA supervisor showdowns—before diving into YouTube’s new paid-membership pop-ups and an AI glitch that nuked a bunch of channels.
On the tech-news front, Microsoft finally fixed that decade-old update/restart bug (but still isn’t an AI powerhouse), Amazon sued Perplexity over its “buy it for me” feature, and Nvidia teased sending GPU servers to space. We also heard about AMD clearing up some RDNA driver drama, Starlink running on Apple Watch, a Chinese thorium-powered ship prototype, UK Parliament’s “Stop Killing Games” debate and plenty of merch deals, holiday drops and random geeky tangents.
