Linus’s team handed Elijah a month-long challenge to build a full 8v8 LAN rig from scratch—unboxing custom server racks, stuffing 16 Mini-ITX PCs (BD790I boards, DDR5 SO-DIMM, NVMe SSDs, RX 9070 XT GPUs, 750 W SFX PSUs) into Hammond racks, and wrangling it all with ggRock. After deployment at Whale LAN, epic networking headaches and plenty of “Elijah in pain” moments, the beast finally roared to life.
