Elijah finally wraps up the month-long 8v8 challenge to build a true 16-player gaming rig, unboxing server racks, wrangling 16 mini-ITX PCs and outfitting them with ggRock for seamless management. Between sourcing DDR5 SO-DIMMs, AMD Radeon RX 9070 XTs and custom power supplies in cramped server cabinets, the journey was as painful as it was impressive.
After a tense deployment at Whale LAN—complete with networking headaches and on-site drama—the setup sprang to life, proving that with enough patience (and the right hardware), you really can game with 16 people on one network.
