They Scored a $40K Test Chamber for $1K (What Could Go Wrong?)

Linus dropped a lowball bid and somehow snagged a $40,000-plus environmental test chamber for just $1,000—only to discover it hasn’t been powered on in a decade, the maker is long out of business, and it’s been left to bake (and rust) outdoors. Now LTT Labs has not one, but two of these beasts sitting around, and they’re about to find out if they can turn this mystery box into something usable.

From wrestling the giant unit through the door to poking around for signs of life (is it water-cooled? does anything still move?), the crew walks through the chaos of initial teardown and starts piecing together a plan.
