Veritasium: Something Weird Happens When E= mc

Veritasium’s new video dives into Dirac’s wild ride from dodgy wave equations to the crazy idea of an anti-universe. When Schrödinger’s and Klein–Gordon’s versions didn’t cut it, Dirac’s e = −mc² twist produced solutions implying negative-energy states—and thus a whole mirror world of antimatter.

We follow the story of his “strangest man in physics” rep, see how antiparticles (hello, positrons!) can be viewed as electrons zipping backward through time, and trace the real-life hunt for antimatter. It’s a neat mashup of heavy quantum math, fascinating history, and big “what if” questions about our universe’s reflection.
