Living With the Houston Sun: Experiment in A Small Home.

I have been pondering on how minor things at our places of residence can in fact transform the manner in which we live our lives. Some months past, I was fed up by the tormenting Houston sun that beamed into my living room every afternoon. It was not only a bright one, but it was hot and uncomfortable and caused my little plants to dry up more quickly than I thought possible. I began researching how to mute that light, without cutting it off, and that is when I came across the knowledge about solar screen installation houston.

Initially, I was not certain whether it will be noticeably different. The concept of window dressing with something that appeared to be so simple was too easy. Next, however, when it was installed, the difference was slight, but spectacular. The rudeness of light was gone, the air was cooler in the room, and the flora began to revive. It was not dramatic in the flashy sense of the word, but rather as though somebody had just turned the volume of the sun up or down, so that life inside the house was a little more comfortable.

The fact that such a slight change had such a big impact on my mood was something that made a very strong impression on me. The living room was suddenly a place where I would even look forward to reading rather than feel afraid of the heat. Other minor changes began to occur to me also--a little less fading on my furniture, a little fewer sunburns on my cat as she lounged by the windows, even my energy bills decreased a little.

It made me think of that proverb that we so often ignore any little change that can make a difference. It does not necessarily have to be complex or costly, but considerate. I wonder whether others have made similar attempts- little changes made in the home that made living better than before. It is quite amusing that with the help of something so basic as the screen, one can change the entire experience of a space, right?
