I was out walking last weekend within my neighborhood and I was simply enjoying the silence when I noticed something I had not really given much thought to prior to this time, and that is, roofs. In particular, the way certain houses are simply fresher or cleaner or even well-maintained, whereas others appear to be neglected despite all other details of the house being excellent. It got me to consider how we so much ignore all the small things that make a difference to the feel of a space.
Years back, one of my friends stated that their roof was washed under softwash roof cleaning houston tx. I did not give it much thought at the time but looking at it now I can understand. It is a faint feeling of pride and concern that is present when your house is in good condition. Not bling, not showing off--a mere silent attitude reflection. It is the type of thing the neighbors noticing it do not even know and it alters the way you feel about your own space.
What I like about this is that it does not have to do with perfection. There are older roofs, houses with their eccentricities--but the extra effort put into it, when one applies it, is natural, it somehow feels natural, needless to say. It is a sort of the home saying, I am important too. And I wonder how we so frequently pay that little, accumulative touch in other areas of life. And it could not be only homes, maybe it is even relationships, hobbies, or even our own routines.
As I was passing by those houses that day, I also noted that these minute details influence the first impression of those houses, not to others, but to oneself. It is strange that even such a banal thing as a roof makes one think. Have you ever observed an insignificant tiny detail that can be found around your home or in your community which altered your perception of a place?
