I Built a Janky Computer for William Osman!
Linus teamed up with William Osman to cobble together an absurdly high-capacity, portable NAS for Open Sauce’s endless video footage. Armed with a mini-ITX server board, a Ryzen 9 9950X3D, bucketloads of NVMe SSDs and 18 TB spinners, they endured paint splatters, drop tests and way too many “Wait, what?” moments.
After cramming in two separate NAS boxes (because why not?), they hauled the contraption over to Open Sauce’s digs for the grand reveal. Spoiler: it worked—mostly—and delivered big storage chops in a surprisingly compact, janky package.
