Linus Tech Tips (LTT): I'm NOT Keeping the World's Biggest TV - Hisense 116UX Review

I dove into Hisense’s massive 116UX RGB MiniLED TV expecting jaw-dropping visuals, but trading down from around 20,000 full-array local dimming zones to just 10,000 (or even as low as 3,600 in some settings) on a display this size proved to be a tough pill to swallow. The screen still looks stunning from a distance, but up close you start to notice less precise light control and some blooming that you just don’t get with more densely zoned panels.

After running my usual gamut of tests—brightness, contrast, color accuracy, and gaming latency—I found myself in TV limbo: I love the idea of a 116-inch centerpiece, but the performance gap makes me question if it’s really worth keeping. In the end, it’s an impressive engineering feat, but not quite enough to justify the trade-offs for my living room setup.
