Something is Living in my Pool-Cooled Gaming PC
Linus and the LTT crew discover that after fixing corrosion in their swimming-pool-based PC cooling setup, a mysterious funk—and some unwelcome biological growth—has taken over the water loops. They rip apart the LAN Center rigs, inspect radiators and reservoirs, and even build a DIY “Death Ray” UV sterilizer in a desperate bid to kill off whatever’s breeding in the system.
After testing anti-microbial additives and blasting the loop with UV light, they reveal whether their radical cleanup actually stops the stench (and the slime) for good. It’s a messy, surprisingly high-maintenance experiment that shows pool-cooling a gaming PC isn’t quite the carefree refrigerant solution it sounds like.
